In Denmark, the official opening of the Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm with a capacity of 407 MW, built by the Swedish concern Vattenfall, took place. This is the largest offshore wind facility not only in Denmark, but throughout Scandinavia. The power plant consists of 49 wind turbines manufactured by MHI Vestas, 8.3 MW each. Machine height: 187 meters. It is noteworthy that such a large facility was built in less than two years.

Denmark plans to generate 100% of its electricity using renewable energy sources by 2030. In recent years, the share of wind in annual electricity production has exceeded 40%. With the commissioning of this new offshore wind farm, the average annual share of wind energy in Danish electricity generation is likely to exceed 50%.
